Taneyhills Library is pleased to announce the beginning of FUN FRIDAYS, starting with “Let the Games Begin”.

Phil Thomas, a chess coach, and teacher at Hollister High School, will kick it off by teaching the game of chess. So, if you want to beat your big brother, little sister, or grandkids, here is a great opportunity to learn. It will also lay the foundation for tournament play if you want to take it to the next level.

Classes are scheduled for Fridays, June 10, 24, July 8, and 22 starting at 10:15 a.m. until noon. Tournament regulation chess boards will be used for the class.

The fee for the four-session class is $10. Payment can be paid at the Library's Circulation Desk.
